Irene was a terror that left a lot of damage
The scenes around the country were awful, we hope everyone remains safe and wish them a speedy cleanup and recovery. New England was directly in the path of the storm and Vermont took a beating yesterday. The photos around the internet show the power of the storm and the damage that rain can inflict, one rain drop repeated countless times can tear apart lives.

Oh my gosh, this is terrible. To think of how many mothers with babies this affected, pregnant mamas, seniors and more is just unbelievable – let alone those that would have a (slightly) easier time dealing with this.
I had heard that many pregnant mothers went into labor as the pressure changed. Also, there are two pregnant mothers stranded in the Catskills, cut off from leaving their safe haven due to bridge and road collapses. At this time I believe they are going to perform an air rescue to bring everyone to safety, scary times indeed.
What a disaster. The same typhoon have cause 17 casualties and 5 deaths in our country and lots of farm being damage. Lets pray for the families who are greatly affected by the typhoon. Hope that they can recover soon.
Let’s home there is no more lives lost or damages done.. I agree.
Very, very scary and sad!
We were up north last week during the Tornado warnings and we had to go down into our basement as a precaution – I would hate to know what it is like to be in the real thing! My thoughts go out to everyone affected by Irene!
There is a lot of excitement when preparing for a storm. Those storm chasers really like what they do but I would prefer sunny skies and happy days myself.
Nature can be a wonderful thing, but, on this occasion it has been so destructive and malicious, my heart goes to those that have had to deal with this awful side of nature.
Yes nature is a beautiful thing however there are those times when even she can be ugly and this was one of them. She reared her head and ripped a path of destruction right through many states and many lives.

We are all so happy this storm has passed and now it is time for the clean up to begin.
Every year the weather is more and more extreme. it is both terrifying and tragic. I really believe most people and communities were better prepared this time around. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone effected by Irene
It does seem to be getting much worse when it comes to extreme weather or perhaps we haven’t experienced extremes like this as of yet.
