Flower Porn June 2011

Company is coming, everywhere flower s are in full bloom in anticipation. The recent rains have pushed my plants, which have a sandy soil base, to reach their fullest potential. The hosta are huge this year, the other seasonal blooms seem so hearty and so rich with color with an added bonus of super heady scents to match.

June is a wonderful month in Vermont, the days are long which allows your enjoyment late into the evening. The gardens have a different look from our dew kissed early morning walks to the deeper hues reflecting from the setting sun.

I love them all but am always curious about the thoughts of my viewers. Do any of these photos remind you of anything or seem to suck you into the moment?

  1. Everything looks lovely and it seems very peaceful there. All the flowers are beautiful and for some reason I am an avid fan of white flowers. When a=our white Azazel bushes are in bloom I just think it makes everything look so serene, clean and beautiful.
We have friends in Vermont yet I have never visited. I hear it is a lovely state.

    1. I do like the white flowers, I didn’t think I had much of them until I started taking photographs and have them all in one place. My azaleas are light purple but I do enjoy the white ones as well, I bet your gardens are lovely as well.

Vermont is a lovely state, you should come for a visit sometime..

  2. Lovely photos, so calm and relaxing, I’m really starting to enjoy your flower posts more and more each week, I specially like the first one in this weeks selection, it’s almost like entering a hidden garden from the open fields 😉

    1. Thank you Karen, I have always enjoyed doing the flower photos but have never shared them in a weekly post. I am glad you are enjoying them and I hope to continue to post some amazing things each week. I also like pathways through a garden, you never know what you might find hidden inside the gardens that you might not see otherwise.
