All Brittanys Go To Heaven<\/h3>\n

Just a toddler<\/p><\/div>\n

Our baby had steel blue eyes as a puppy that would captivate you.<\/p>\n

\"Brittanys\"

The cutest puppy ever<\/p><\/div>\n

He cried all the way to the truck when he had to leave all his brother & sisters.<\/p>\n

Little did he know at the time how much he would be adored by his new family.<\/p>\n

His coat was bright and shiny clean.<\/p><\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

Here he is in his \u201cteenage\u201d era. He was a little crazy at times.<\/p>\n

We loved his energy and zest for new things to experience.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s at this age where we started to really connect with him using hand signals,<\/p>\n

single word commands, and little tricks; he obliged in exchange for treats.<\/p>\n

Morning hike with our brittany<\/p><\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

A brisk morning hike.<\/p>\n

He loved going to see Gramma\u2019s house for treats, or to run in her big fields,<\/p>\n

and eating apples from her big trees in the backyard.<\/p>\n

A nice day for a hike<\/p><\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

This hike with his boy, mom & dad was at Libbys look in Bolton, Vermont.<\/p>\n

A swimmer<\/p><\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

Extremely athletic in water, he would swim in rivers, lakes and ponds.<\/p>\n

Sometimes he would chop away at the water with his mouth to hydrate while swimming;<\/p>\n

he sounded like a trolling motor.<\/p>\n

The snow is deep<\/p><\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

You have to make it easy, after large snow storms,<\/p>\n

to give your dog a place to run; our guy had his own racetrack in the backyard.<\/p>\n

Is it morning yet?<\/p><\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

You know that look you get when you wake someone up from a perfectly good nap?<\/p>\n

He loved sleeping at the foot our our bed in our last travel trailer camper.<\/p>\n

I like to nap with daddy<\/p><\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

Some cold winter mornings he would find a little space on the recliner to snuggle up with Daddy.<\/p>\n

Snow Doggie<\/p><\/div>\n

We didn\u2019t know it at the time, but at 10 years old Cushings disease would make his body heat up. His desire for water, and cold blasts of snow, helped to keep his body temperature down. This led us to yell: \u201cLook out, it\u2019s the abominable snow doggy\u201d<\/p>\n

No flotation needed folks.<\/p><\/div>\n

To make matters worse the poor guy blew out his knee, running after some game, in a dense timber area. He came limping back to me. I carried him home, we decided to have surgery, he had less than expected results. The Cushings, coupled with his bad knee soon began to take its toll.<\/p>\n

Our two favorite boys<\/p><\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

Our son loved him as well. He took him on hikes and even tent camping overnight.<\/p>\n
