We don&#8217;t mind his love of walnuts; as long as we keep a secret stash hidden. Joe Vinson, Ph.D, on Science Daily&#8217;s page detailed in a piece titled\u00a0 &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sciencedaily.com\/releases\/2011\/03\/110327191040.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Walnuts are top nut for heart healthy antioxidants<\/a>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The following is a snippet from the article:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em>J. Vinson, Ph.D. of the University of Scranton in Pennsylvania, who carried out the study, says that they compared walnuts with pistachios, almonds, macadamia, cashews, pecans, peanuts, Brazil nuts and hazelnuts, and walnuts contain twice as much antioxidants as any of the other nuts. When compared to vitamin E, a well-known antioxidant, the antioxidants in walnuts were 2 to 15 times more effective. Another advantage to walnuts is that they are usually eaten raw, whereas most other nuts are eaten roasted.
