Chocolate Shakeology Date Ball Cookie<\/h3>\n

This is the Chocolate Shakeology<\/a> Date Nut no bake cookies\/bar that I featured earlier. It tastes like the Lara Jocalat bars..\u00a0 What better way to get your kids to eat fruit and fiber..<\/p>\n

I love the premade bars and thought I could reproduce them in my own kitchen. After playing around with these bars for a while I wanted to incorporate something new,\u00a0 I thought about adding Shakeology<\/a>\u00ae instead of cocoa and tried it in the next batch, that is a very good addition and I would recommend it as it add a lot of nutrition to the mix. \u00a0This is a very flexible recipe, you can add a variety of ingredients to personalize this cookie to your taste but do need the dates or plums as a base.<\/p>\n

Chocolate Shakeology Date Ball Cookie<\/h2>\n

    \n
  • * Dates or Plums (1 cup, pitted, chopped)<\/li>\n
  • * Walnuts (1 cup, chopped)<\/li>\n
  • * Cocoa (dry powder, unsweetened, .25 cup (or one scoop chocolate Shakeology\u00ae))<\/li>\n
  • * Natural peanut butter (2 tbsp)<\/li>\n
  • * Granola (.25 cup)<\/li>\n
  • * Banana (fresh, .5 medium (7" to 7-7\/8" long))<\/li>\n
  • * Coconut (shredded unsweetened, 3 tbsp)<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n

    1. Place the dates, walnuts, cocoa powder, peanut butter and banana in a food processor and blend well. Add granola and pulse a few times to incorporate into the mix.<\/li>\n
    2. Shape approximately 1 tablespoon of mix into a ball and roll in the flaked coconut (optional). Place in an airtight container and refrigerate.<\/li>\n<\/ol><\/div>\n

      I add a variety of nuts and also dried cranberries and will not always roll in coconut. I also use premade granola and most of my ingredients are organic by choice. Chocolate Shakeology\u00ae adds a tremendous amount of nutrition to this cookie, but you can experiment with Greenberry or other Shakeology flavors as well.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
