Digging in the soil, preparing for summer harvest was in my future.\u00a0 Of course first thing was preparing the soil: pulling weeds, adding mulched compost\/manure, loosening up the soil.\u00a0 I gathered all my gardening tools, I went out giddy with excitement, after a few back-breaking hours, I was less than thrilled.<\/p>\n<p>After a few hours of back-breaking labor, these questions were running through my thoughts:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>My long list of tasks needing my immediate attention<em>;<\/em> I had to do a food plan for the day still!<\/li>\n<li>How urgent was this garden project really? <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Answer<\/span><\/em>: very, as anyone who overlooked aggressive weeds knows.<\/li>\n<li>At the rate this project was going, the likelihood I&#8217;d get anything else done? <em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Answer<\/span><\/em>: You&#8217;ll collapse, starving, on the couch some 6 hours from now.<\/li>\n<li>How could I streamline working the soil? <em>Answer<\/em>: A tiller that is heavy, it&#8217;s too big for the job<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>After all the pros:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>New Power Tool<\/li>\n<li>Family members volunteering to use New Power Tool<\/li>\n<li>Lighter, more friable, soils<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>And the cons:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The cost for such a small lightweight thing<\/li>\n<li>Assembly, looks like a lot of parts<\/li>\n<li>Engine maintenance<\/li>\n<li>Negative reviews about starting<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4>\u00a0I decided to take the plunge, worried that I&#8217;ve wasted money.<\/h4>\n<p>I broke down, before my back did, purchasing a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kqzyfj.com\/click-3901358-10443722\" target=\"_blank\">Mantis Tiller<\/a>, the 4 cycle model; my father drove home buying durable tools<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kqzyfj.com\/click-3901358-10443722\" target=\"_blank\">\u00a0<\/a> In reality, I&#8217;ve, secretly, wanted a Mantis since I saw my first Organic Gardening magazine. I knew I&#8217;ve spent too many years hand turning my gardens; I agreed with myself that I <del>wanted\u00a0<\/del> needed a Mantis.\u00a0 I won&#8217;t lie: I did search for a codes for 10% off and with the free shipping.<\/p>\n<h2>I&#8217;m excitedly waiting for my new purchase to arrive and will be giving updates on this 4cc machine as soon as I can.<\/h2>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #008000;\">2014 Update:<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>We&#8217;ve <strong>used this tiller for 4 years now<\/strong> and have never struggled starting the tiller; it is stored outside during northern Vermont winters.
