Every now and then you could hear the crush of footsteps on the sand as other early risers hiked up to the Makawehi cliff for the bigger broader view.<\/p>\n<p>The colors this morning were amazing and I was so glad that I woke early for my first sunrise on Kauai.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/_sVKcBs4vE78\/S6Vvg483BJI\/AAAAAAAAArY\/MmNlKZn8mPQ\/s400\/CIMG4895.JPG?resize=499%2C374\" alt=\"Hawaii Sunrise over the Makawehi Cliff\" width=\"499\" height=\"374\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I sat for enough time to imagine seeing a face on the cliff, a face with a large forehead, round nose and defined chin. I could almost convince myself that there was a rather tuffed head of hair on this watcher of the rising sun. The morning was so peaceful, soon the show was over as the yellow glow of the sun began to shine.
