I’m catching up on a lot of things this week: family, friends, housework, and a TV series or two. NBC’s This is Us1<\/sup><\/span><\/a> is in their first season, I was immediately drawn into the series. This is Us is tells the story relating to the lives of this group and how they are interconnected, how each character’s choices impacts the other. In the first episode you’re introduced to the main characters of the show:<\/p>\n

Jack (Milo Ventimiglia2<\/sup><\/span>) and Rebecca (Mandy Moore3<\/sup><\/span>) are rushed to the hospital to deliver triplets. Kevin (Justin Hartley4<\/sup><\/span>), is a hunky fit actor whose job requires him to remain shirtless. Kate (Chrissy Metz5<\/sup><\/span>) is Kevin’s overweight twin and his personal assistant. Then there is Randall (Sterling Brown6<\/sup><\/span>), a weather commodities trader with a beautiful family, he is searching for his biological father. All the characters, except Rebecca, share the same birthday.<\/p>\n

The most recent episode, the root details of the family traditions are revealed as the characters sit down to their Thanksgiving dinner. The oddities of their family traditions and why they can’t celebrate a holiday without them are both sad and hysterical. This series has me laughing through my tears in each and every episode, I applaud the brilliant series by creator Dan Fogelman7<\/sup><\/span>.<\/p>\n

I’m excited to see where this series is going and how the characters are developed.<\/p>\n
