I don&#8217;t know if you keep parsnips in the house but I do as I like the hint of horseradish in this dish. I have become enamored with making my own soups and this is a fun one to try.<\/p>\n<p> <!--WPRM Recipe 34655--><\/p>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe\">\n<h2 class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-name\">Broccoli Soup with Bone Broth<\/h2>\n<p>\t<img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" height=\"150\" width=\"150\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-image\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/bodynsoil.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/01\/broc_soup2.jpg?resize=150%2C150&#038;ssl=1\"\/>\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-summary\">\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-ingredients\">\n<ul>\n<li>1 large celery rib (thinly sliced)<\/li>\n<li>1 medium bunch broccoli (florets only, coarsely chopped)<\/li>\n<li>1 medium onion (chopped)<\/li>\n<li>2 small parsnips (peeled and sliced)<\/li>\n<li>4 cups bone broth (chicken\/vegetable broth can be substituted)<\/li>\n<li>Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste<\/li>\n<li>2-3 tsp. lemon juice (optional)<\/li>\n<li>Chopped fresh parsley for garnish<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<div class=\"wprm-fallback-recipe-instructions\">\n<ol>\n<li>Place celery, broccoli, onion, parsnips, broth and pepper in a deep stock pot. Cover tightly and bring to boil over medium-high heat.<\/li>\n<li>Reduce heat and simmer until vegetables are very tender, about 20 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>In a blender, puree soup until velvet-smooth. Serve in bowls or pour into mugs.
