In the early days of my working career, I was eager to prove myself in an office environment. Soon, I found myself working as a legal secretary and bookkeeper. It didn’t take long for the office to recognize my skill set as they added more and more tasks to my day. Before I knew it, I was assigned payroll duties for three companies; one having over 250 employees. Payroll required me to complete taxes and human resource activities. Balancing my days between the legal secretary work and accounting was busy. I was asked to full the executive secretary role, along with all my other job duties.
After ten years of hectic life at this particular company, I decided it was too much so I moved to another office. To my amazement, the office I left had to hire 3 people to fill my shoes. That made me feel good about my capabilities and was a sign as to how busy I really was.
I certainly was overworked during that time, I had a tendency to put myself in that situation. Now that I’m older, I only work part-time and it’s the best scenario for me.

That’s what seems to happen when you are good at what you do, and often you are taken advantage of.
Yes, thank you for saying so. I’d like to imagine them missing me after I left.
