10 Ultimate What Not To Wear Rules
I’ve always loved watching “What not to Wear” with Stacey and Clinton as they help people change their style as their lives grew and evolved. There certainly have been some very emotional transformations; some people who just clicked, and others who were more confrontational about the process. In the end, I always picked up great tips and to be more aware of the image I’m projecting.
I’m sure I’m not the only person who grew their fashion sense using the Top 10 Ultimate Styling Rules Stacey and Clinton are often discussing on various episodes; added bonus of Ted’s hair tips and Carmindy’s makeup tips.
Let me apologize right away for the formatting. Originally I tabbed all the videos in one post; hated that. Ten tips, + Ted & Carmindy’s hair and makeup tips, made for a long post. To save you load time (you’re welcome) episodes one through five can be found on this page, six through ten on page two, little Ted and Carmindy are on the WNTW Hair and makeup tips page..
Stacey and Clinton are always right
This first video opens with confirmation from past participants that the rules really do work.
The main takeaway from this video is:
Clothes should bring you joy and make you feel beautiful!
Show Personality without Looking Crazy
I remember the majority of the personalities shown as evidence in this episode. The one episode where the morphed a fairy into a beautiful young girl is amazing and proof of the wonderful things Stacy and Clinton have done over the years. The main takeaway with this episode is:
If you’ve worn it to a theme party, it doesn’t belong in your day-to-day wardrobe.
Mom Doesn’t equal Frump
Laughing, the cast discuss how sweatpants, a tee, and a sweatshirt are the working moms general attire. Instead of projecting how busy and tired you are, show off your self-confidence as the take away from this episode is:
Feel good about yourself, show good self-esteem as a mom to your family.
Jeans should make your back side look good
Showing a plethora of baggy saggy jeans and/or maternity jeans on women who weren’t pregnant; Stacy and Clinton go on to teach a few lucky ladies that:
Jeans main purpose is to make your butt look great!
You don’t need more skin to look sexy
Too much skin screams insecurity or worse; don’t put your whole value in your sexuality.
Remember, how people see you will be how they treat you.

Once you get your fashion fox paws under control.
Which tip is your favorite?
Which one do you think you need to work on or speaks to you the most?
Which do you break most often?
I love these tips, thank you for posting. My favorite would be dressing your age as I tend to reuse my clothes through the years and now see I should toss a few outfit combinations I own. Out go the onesies.
