Daily Harvest
As many of my faithful readers know, I recently started growing salad greens indoors. Which was detailed in my post: “Let the Gardening Begin” from January after setting up the 3 tier grow rack from Gardener’s Supply.
Not knowing what would grow best, I started with the basic baby green mix, with excellent results. This photo is what will be cut and prepared for our salad later on this afternoon.
Time to make the salad
Now that we have this first batch of lettuce grown, we know what to expect and cut back on store-bought greens.
With a nice sunny day outside, I plan to take a few plugs and plant them out in the sunporch so they can continue growing, allowing me to start more seedlings.
I love lettuce and they are healthy too…Thanks for the post here…
Wow, congratulations, they look yummy. I can’t believe you were able to do this during the winter.
They look very healthy! I bet they will make a sumptuous garden salad. lettuce is also my favorite 🙂
