My workout schedule changes based on how active I am in the gardens and events in my life. As an active gardener and DIY home management person, I get very active on a daily basis. Some days I’m carrying 100lb bags and others I am splitting wood with an 8 pound axe. When I work with heavy items, I’ll do a few walking lunges, squats, or presses.

Schedules change, not dramatically, just enough to warrant having my workout done early.  It has been more than a full year since I started working out with affiliate P90X (2009-2012)  I have noticed many changes in myself both physically and with my stamina.

One of the biggest and most exciting changes that I have noticed, something which eluded me, weight maintenance around my hips. I supplemented my normal eating with  post workout drink (50g carbs/25g protein), and shakeology as a continued morning meal.

I discovered these workouts fit perfect for me, in that time of my life.

Genetically my body stores bodyfat from the hips down; that fact rules my training for years to come. Changing from rail thin on my upper body, while carrying weight from my knees to my hips was my goal Previously, no amount of dieting changed how I looked and felt.

Since starting with P90X, I have noticed dramatic changes in the way my legs look with visible muscle tone in my quads and calves. I can’t tell you how exciting it is to get dressed in the morning because my legs and bootie shape.

I was no longer camouflaging the saddlebags.

Previously, I had been involved in fitness, with no solid plan, I was all over the place. Without the nutrition behind the workout, I was spinning my wheels. I found that Beachbody programs are well planned, easy to follow, encourage you to keep trying, and try again if you fail.

At the time of this writing, I had been using a blend of P90X, and P90X plus for my main lifting routines. Using Brazilian Butt Lift for my leg workouts and for cardio.  The One on One programs, filmed by Tony Horton monthly, have been a great tool to mix up the workout.
