Exposure Ruined Wedding Photos

While sorting through older photos, the kind that needed to be developed, we discovered wedding photos of our friends. We slipped these photos into holiday cards to our friends not know the impact it would have on one couple. We met for dinner just after the holidays, we were surprised to hear how excited they were about the photos; they told us their story.

Their wedding was in the fall and was absolutely gorgeous, our fall colors were just perfect. As usual, after the ceremony they left for wedding photos then arrived at the reception. Those were fabulous memories we shared over dinner before they told us their photo ordeal.

They hired a well-known photographer and like any newlywed, they were excited to see how everything came out. Imagine their heartbreak to learn the exposure was wrong, the photos were mostly a waste. We had a similar experience with our photos and understood their frustration.

Our photographer thought trying a new filter during the ceremony. I’m not sure why he didn’t just try it for a picture or two then take it off. All our photos have this sickly yellowish tint, like we were severely jaundiced.

We didn’t go through all our photos and plan to do it soon. We hope to allow them to rebuild their wedding photo album.
